| Q: Do I need an appointment? A: We suggest that all clients set an appointment, however on occasion we do have availability for walk-ins. Your first visit to Han's Chinese Medicine Inc. will include both an initial consultation and treatment. Please allow for 1-1.5 hours for your initial appointment and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments. Q: Does acupuncture hurt? A: Only fine needles are used in acupuncture, and when they are inserted there is little or no pain. Once inserted, the needles may cause numbness or a calm relaxing sensation. Q: Is acupuncture safe? A: Yes. Han's Chinese Medicine Inc. only employs certified acupuncturists. And only disposable needles used for acupuncture treatment. Q: Is acupuncture covered by my medical insurance? A: If acupuncture treatment is required due to an accident or injury, your medical insurance may cover the costs of your treatment. For information specific to your provider, please call your insurance company. Most insurance companies have program with Acupuncture coverage. | |
